It has been a couple months since you’ve seen news from Interchurch so here is a year – to – date (8-15-18) update:
Financial Aid=78
Utilities=53, Housing=12, Medical=2, Gas voucher=8 and
Misc = 4 (2 funeral assists, 1 band camp fee, and 1 STNA deposit)
Not only did your monetary donations contribute to the stats above, they also enabled Interchurch to provide 56 kids (children of our clients K-12) a total of 986 meals through our Summer Lunch Program this year and we also assisted 56 kids (again, children of our clients K-12) with BTS supplies this year. Every cent donated to Fredericktown Interchurch remains in Fredericktown which allows us to provide these services. Our goal in 2019 is to continue with current programs and hopefully (with continued support and donations) add a weekend lunch program for our client’s children who are home for the weekend and not receiving the school breakfast or lunch.
Another way to support Interchurch is through our Thrift Store – Auntie Alice’s Corner Cupboard. All monies from our Thrift Store sales go to the operation of Fredericktown Interchurch which why we ask for good, clean usable donations. Our most sold items are holiday decorations, linens, dishes, household goods, children’s clothing and women’s clothing, shoes and purses so please keep that in mind when purging your household. Also when donating ask yourself “Is this item in good enough condition that I would buy it?” if so, donate and if not please discard through other means.
Now that the Summer Lunches and BTS are over, we are gearing up for Turn the Tide 2018! Applications will be ready October 1 and applicants will be ready for adoption November 5. Distribution will be mid-December, date TBA later.
