Plan to attend our event this Saturday, June 16 from 8:00 am-12:00 pm at the Kokosing Gap Canoe Access located at 17812 Lower Gambier Rd. Mount Vernon, 43050 for a morning of birding with a twist. Enjoy a float down the beautiful Kokosing State Scenic River. We will point out birds by sight and sound along the way. The float will end at the Big Run Rd. Kokosing River Access (8921 Big Run Rd. Gambier, 43022).
Wear clothes suitable for the river and sunscreen. Binoculars are available. Please bring bottled water, to make sure to stay hydrated during the trip. Kayaks will not be provided and Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs) are mandatory, a limited supply of PDFs will be provided by the Park District. The Park District will shuttle a few guests at a time back to the starting point (Kokosing Gap Canoe Access) to retrieve vehicles.
