Knox County Sheriff’s Report – May 21, 2018

A building check was conducted on the 200 block of Columbus Road in Mount Vernon. The building was pasted with No Trespassing stickers from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office. Robert Swint, of Centerburg, was found sleeping inside and was arrested for criminal trespassing on May 18th, 2018.

Two complainants, of the 12000 block of Woodview Lane in Fredericktown, advised that sometime overnight suspects unknown had stolen two mailboxes. The complainants also advised that they would like an extra patrol in their neighborhood during the overnight hours when available. The incident occurred on May 18th, 2018.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence of the 6000 block of Johnstown Road in Centerburg. A complainant advised that he observed a male individual attempt to make entry into his residence but he then fled in their vehicle when they realized that the residence was occupied. The incident occurred on May 18th, 2018.

William N Houston Jr, of Gambier, eluded the police when an officer attempted to stop him for running a stop sign. Houston was stopped in the parking lot of the Ohio Eastern Star parking lot and arrested on May 18th, 2018.

Ricky J Matthews Jr, of Danville, was located and found to have an active warrant for his arrest from the Knox County Common Pleas Court on May 19th, 2018.

Deputies were dispatched, to the 200 block of Woodlawn Circle in Howard, on a possible suspicious person call. The complainant advised that they observed two individuals outside their residence vandalizing their vehicles but were unable to give a physical description of them. The incident occurred on May 21st, 2018.
