COLUMBUS – Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted is reminding voters there is still time to vote in the May 8 Primary Election. By the time polls close on Tuesday, Ohio voters will have had four weeks to cast their ballots during the early voting period that began on April 10.
Voters will weigh-in on a statewide ballot issue, a number of state and local races, as well as a total of 479 local issues(opens in a new window) across 83 counties. Absentee Voting by Mail and In-Person
The deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail for the Primary Election is TOMORROW, Saturday, May 5 at noon. Completed absentee ballots being returned by mail must be postmarked by Monday, May 7 and arrive at their board of elections’ office within 10 days of the election in order to be counted. Voters who have not yet mailed their ballot are encouraged to drop it off in-person at their county board of elections’ office prior to the polls closing at 7:30 pm on May 8. A completed ballot may also be returned by a family member.
Secretary Husted has established uniform hours for in-person absentee voting to ensure all voters have fair and equal access to the ballot during the May 8 Primary Election. Ohio voters can vote over the course of four weeks, including the weekend before Election Day.

Polls will be open on Tuesday from 6:30 am until 7:30 pm. Voters can find their polling location, check their registration and view a sample ballot by going to MyOhioVote.com/VoterToolkit.
