Knox County Sheriff’s Report – Apr 30, 2018

Deputies responded to a 9-1-1 hang-up call on Bennett Lane in the Village of Gambier. The residence checked okay, however, an under-age male was found to be intoxicated standing at an apartment that wasn’t his, staring at the front door. Samuel Humphrey, of Westlake, was issued a summons to court and was escorted back to his dorm room by campus security on April 28th, 2018.

Terry B. Byrd, of Fredericktown, was arrested after an argument that led to Byrd backing his truck into his ex-girlfriend’s residence and then driving away. A Deputy was able to make a traffic stop on Byrd’s vehicle and arrested him for OVI on April 28th, 2018.

A victim, of the 12000 block of Miller Road in Mount Vernon, advised that someone had put sugar in the gas tank of her vehicle on April 21st, 2018.

A victim, of the 18000 block of Roberts Road in Fredericktown, advised that sometime between March 5th, 2018 and March 18th, 2018 an unknown person(s) broke into a barn/cabin and removed an energy system. The victim further advised that a man door had been kicked in destroying it and the door jamb.

A complainant, of the 300 block of Highland Hills Circle in Howard, advised that someone had attempted to force entry into his home causing damage to the front storm door of his residence. Statements and photographs were taken on-scene and a report was written on April 29th, 2018.
