On Saturday, April 21, to show community pride and brighten the lives of retired industry co-workers, the Knox County Board of Realtors and affiliates worked together to share a fun and productive morning.
The group traveled to the homes of retirees, Max Schonauer and Marlene Hedges, where the cleaned flower beds, trimmed bushes and applied mulch.
Both Marlene and Max were appreciative of the help and were both equally happy to see familiar faces, share in the laughter, and to feel the warmth and respect of their peers. “It was nice to see the girls”, said Mr. Schonauer.
The Board of Realtors would like to encourage everyone to brighten the day of a friend, neighbor or a stranger. Be certain to pick up your trash while visiting a community park, take pride in your neighborhood, and continue to make Knox County a place of pride for all those that live and work the area.
