Allison’s Finer Diner Selling Business

It is with great excitement and tremendous sadness that Allison’s Finer Diner announces to our friends, family, staff, brothers and sisters in Christ, and the community as a whole that we are in contract to sell our Business. What a wonderful blessed time it has been serving Knox County and surrounding areas for the past 10 years. We have made many very good friends and have been treated so kindly and generously by thousands over the years, that it is a little heart wrenching to think that we are now moving on to the next chapter of our life.
As many of you know, Pam has been struggling with a semi- debilitating disease since 2010, and it has progressively been getting harder and harder for her to fight thru the pain, come to work and be an effective restaurant manager / owner. If she was not so committed to ministering to her beloved crew, past and present, and the patrons she so dearly loves, and being available to them at all times, she would maybe have been able to just run a normal restaurant. But, those that know her well know that it is just not possible for her to run her business that way. The tremendous sadness that we are experiencing is that Pam loves, loves, loves, her job, her employees, her guests and her restaurant. Over the course of the past several months the feasibility of being able to get this deal done with the interested buyers was looking insurmountable. Many times because of problems with negotiations, our financial woes, financing issues, etc., the deal was done and dead, but, then our sovereign Lord intervened. Although I know that Pam didn’t ever believe that this sale would happen, the stress of the thought of it alone has contributed and escalated her painful health symptoms, but that does not even compare to the heavy burden she has been bearing during the final process. Although, she was a champion in and out of work at hiding her physical pain from everyone including me, her husband, she was not able to conceal her heartbreak for the loss she suffers this day. Many days recently watching tears and her staring into space has led me to know for sure – This is the hardest thing my wife has ever done!
We have been asked on a few occasions recently by some guests and crewmembers if we were selling, and unfortunately we were not able to divulge any information during those times of questions. Although the negotiations and the process of this sale have been going on for many months, we were contractually and legally not at liberty to discuss or even acknowledge the potential sale. We are truly excited for the new owners and are confident in their being welcomed by this wonderful community as we have been. They will be making an announcement very soon as to their brand and opening plans.
We will be operating until early April and hope to see you often until then. We cannot begin to thank you enough for opening your arms, your hearts and prayers to include the Allison’s. You have truly been a gift from God to us, and we will forever be grateful to Him and each of you for your patronage, encouragement and especially your love.

God Bless you!
Pam and Terry Allison
