Thirteen Found Guilty

MOUNT VERNON – Judge John Thatcher found thirteen people guilty after arraignments and hearings were held at the Mount Vernon Municipal Court on January 2, 2018.

Kyle Fowler, 22 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of two counts of Possession of Marijuana Drug Paraphernalia and one count of Marijuana Possession. The Court sentenced him to pay a total of $225 in fines for the Paraphernalia charge and an additional fine of $75 for Possessing Marijuana.

Logan Hammons, 31 of Brinkhaven, was found guilty of Failing to Reinstate his Driver’s License and Display his License Plate. The Court sentenced him to pay a $200 fine for the Failure to Reinstate charge and pay a $25 fine for violating the Failure to Display.

Gunor Doretich, 19 of Danville, was found guilty of Driving Under an FRA Suspension. The Court ordered him to pay a $200 fine.

Brandy Carson, 40 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Under an FRA Suspension. The Court ordered her to pay a $200 fine.

Lacy Holt, 35 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Petty Theft and a Failure to Pay Income Tax. For the Theft charge, the Court sentenced her to serve 180 days in jail with 170 days suspended, placed her on two years of probation with the following conditions: complete a drug and alcohol assessment within 60 days, 20 hours of community service, complete a social responsibility clinic, and participate in random drug and alcohol screenings. For the Income Tax charge, the Court sentenced her to serve 180 days in jail with 170 suspended and placed her on two years of probation.

Travis Burge, 31 of Cardington, was found guilty of Petty Theft. The Court sentenced him to serve 180 days in jail with 175 days suspended, placed him on two years of probation with the following conditions: complete a drug and alcohol assessment within 60 days and attend a social responsibility clinic.

James Beach, Jr., 44 of Howard, was found guilty of Menacing. The Court sentenced him to serve 20 days in jail.

Kevin Courts, 44 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol. The Court sentenced him to pay a $700 fine, serve 30 days in jail, and suspended his operator’s license for two years.

Gary Frost, 29 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol and Marijuana. The Court sentenced him to pay a $500 fine, serve 180 days in jail with 177 days suspended, placed him on two years of probation with the following conditions: attend a 72-hour driver intervention program and suspended his operator’s license for one year.

Rachel Knox, 34 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol. The Court sentenced her to pay a $500 fine, serve 180 days in jail with 177 days suspended, placed her on two years of probation with the following conditions: attend a 72-hour driver intervention program and suspended her operator’s license for one year.

Michael Durst, Jr., 23 of Gambier, was found guilty of Driving Under an OVI/ALS Suspension. The Court sentenced him to pay a $250 fine, serve 180 days in jail with 177 days suspended, and placed him on two years of probation.

Travis Miller, 34 of Columbus, was found guilty of two counts of Petty Theft. He will be sentenced on February 6, 2018.

Nathan Craig, 19 of Cardington, was found guilty of Menacing by Stalking and Telecommunication Harassment. He will be sentenced on February 13, 2018.

Three Found Guilty

MOUNT VERNON – Judge John Thatcher found three guilty after arraignments and trials were held at the Mount Vernon Municipal Court on January 3, 2018.

Austin Gremmel, 21 of Coshocton, was found guilty of Driving Under Suspension. The Court sentenced him to pay a $300 fine.

Tracy Jones, 49 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Speeding. The Court sentenced her to pay a $25 fine.

Damien Miracle, 37 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Under Suspension. The Court sentenced him to pay a $200 fine.
