The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an overnight burglary that occurred at Shearer Equipment on Harcourt Rd. just outside of Mount Vernon. At 5:06 am officers were dispatched to an alarm and upon arrival discovered that a front window had been shattered and several chainsaws were missing. The incident remains under investigation. The vehicle involved appears to be a Ford Explorer with no front license plate. There were 2 suspects involved. Anyone with information is asked to call 740-397-3333 ext.1.
