Five Found Guilty

MOUNT VERNON – Judge John Thatcher found four guilty after arraignments and one guilty after hearings were held at the Mount Vernon Municipal Court on December 5, 2017.

Patrick Cassellis, 18 of Howard, pled guilty to Speeding and was sentenced to pay a $50 fine plus court costs.

Abigail Snelling, 29 of Mount Vernon, pled guilty to Driving without a Seatbelt and was sentenced to pay a $30 fine plus court costs.

Heidi Miller, 26 of Fredericktown, pled guilty to Driving under an FRA Suspension. She was sentenced to serve a one-year probation term, 30 days in jail with 30 days suspended, and pay a $200 fine plus court costs.

Calvin Jones, 24 of Mount Vernon, pled guilty to Driving without a Valid License. He was sentenced to pay a $200 fine plus court costs.

James Bristow, 49 of Howard, was found guilty of Driving without a Valid License. The Court sentenced him to pay a $200 fine plus court costs.

Director of Law Rob Broeren represented the State of Ohio and the City of Mount Vernon in the Cassellis, Snelling, Miller, and Jones cases.

Assistant Director of Law Brittany Whitney represented the State of Ohio in the Bristow case.
