MVNU Champions of Character Day

Kurt Roberts speaks with Mount Vernon students.Mount Vernon students watch the MVNU men's basketball game.
The Mount Vernon Nazarene University generously invited Mount Vernon Fourth and Fifth Grade students to visit their campus and attend the men’s basketball game against Cincinnati Christian University.    During halftime, students and teachers participated in character building exercises that focused on five Pillars of Character:  Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Sportsmanship, and Compassion.
Mount Vernon physical education teacher and NCAA Track and Field Champion, Kurt Roberts addressed the crowd on the importance of good character, personal integrity and being true to your ideas.  Mount Vernon Middle School students will be attending their Champions of Character Day on Wednesday, December 13th.

We are very appreciative of MVNU for providing this fun and enriching experience for our students.
