At the start of the 2017 Jackets football season, to the dismay of many of our supporters, we were notified that after 50 plus years of coverage, WMVO would no longer be covering the Mount Vernon Yellow Jacket Football games on their station.
True to the statement by Mr. Iacocca, we felt that this might very well be a great opportunity for our Jackets Athletic programs to find a brilliant solution. September 21st, 2017, debuted the first broadcast of Yellow Jacket Live. Jacket fans will now be able to see and hear updates, interviews from coaches, and broadcasts of Mount Vernon athletic events well beyond just a typical Friday Night Football game.
Although you cannot tune in on the radio dial, Jacket fans will have the capacity to experience Yellow Jacket Live from their smartphone, computer, or tablet. We are certainly excited about covering Jacket Nation in this new format and look forward to showcasing all the great student-athletes and coaches at Mount Vernon.
