OIU Executes Gambling Search Warrant in Reynoldsburg

(Columbus) – Agents with the Ohio Investigative Unit conducted a search warrant at a liquor permit premise for gambling related violations.

Tisha Smith, 47, of Pickerington, was charged with three counts each of gambling and operating a gambling house. MH Holdings, LLC., also known as Jilly’s, of 6842 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, was also charged with one count each of gambling and operating a gambling house.

Agents issued administrative citations against the liquor permit, MH Holdings, LLC, for operating a gambling house, game of chance for profit or scheme of chance, electronic video gambling device, recklessly permitting public gaming, insanitary conditions, drug possession, and drug paraphernalia possession.

During the search warrant agents seized two electronic video slot machines and $14,679 in U.S. currency.

Additional charges may be presented to the Franklin County Prosecutor. The administrative case will be presented to the Ohio Liquor Control Commission at a later date. Possible administrative penalties include fines, suspensions, or revocation of the liquor permit.
