During the week of February 18-24, engineers from Siemens visited each elementary school in Mount Vernon City School District to celebrate Engineering Week. What a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn about the exciting field of engineering. The engineers taught students about the importance of engineering and how engineering makes a difference in our world. Students then had the opportunity to participate in a bridge building competition. The professional expertise and the time spent helping our students solve structural problems made a big impact on our young learners. Siemens’ staff opened up the world of engineering by enthusiastically sharing their field with our students.
