Returning to Winter

Light rain showers are expected to develop this afternoon ahead of an advancing cold front but the showers will quickly move east of the area by late this evening as slightly drier and colder air begins to filter into the Ohio Valley. By Thursday morning, strong west-northwest flow at the surface will become established in the area, helping usher in more seasonably cold temperatures. Scattered rain/snow showers will develop through Thursday, particularly for northern/eastern parts of the region. Gusts to 35 MPH are possible through the day.
