Horseshoe Casino Ordered to Pay Forfeiture Fine

As a result of an Ohio Investigative Unit trace-back investigation, the Ohio Liquor Control Commission has ruled Rock Casino Caesars Cincinnati, LLC., also known as the Horseshoe Casino, must pay a $50,000 fine or their liquor permit will be revoked.
The Horseshoe Casino, 1000 Broadway Street in Cincinnati has 21 days to pay the forfeiture fine or the permit will be revoked at noon on January 19, 2017.
A trace-back investigation was conducted at the request of the Cincinnati Police Department following a fatal crash on March 20, 2016 along Interstate 275. Agents determined Cory Lippmeier was over-served at casino’s bar before crashing into another vehicle and killing the driver.
Agents administratively cited the liquor permit premise on May 11 with furnishing beer or intoxicating liquor to an intoxicated person and for sale of beer or intoxicating liquor to an intoxicated person.
Agents routinely conduct trace-back investigations after alcohol-related crashes. A trace-back investigation traces the source of alcohol, whether it is sold or provided to an underage or an already intoxicated individual, following a serious injury or fatal crash, or an alcohol-related incident.
