Even as air temperatures near the surface rise above freezing late tonight, don’t assume that icing won’t be a factor anymore! Because we are emerging from a deep freeze, the temperatures of the surfaces (especially roads) in the area are already quite cold and will be slower to warm than the air itself! Once sufficient warming occurs late Saturday morning into the afternoon, the threat for icing will diminish.
