Is It a Holiday Scam? Better Check Twice

Online shopping  bbb

Columbus, OH – Holiday shopping and donating are picking up speed as the third week of December approaches. Social media feeds and websites are filled with ads, secret-sister gift exchange proposals, pop-ups, and more.

Better Business Bureau is warning consumers to beware of multiple holiday scams looking to take advantage of those donating to charities or purchasing gifts for loved ones.

With any solicitations, job-offers, or great deals online, it’s better to check twice. Consumers could lose money, their identities, or other personal information if not careful during one of the busiest months of the year.
