COLUMBUS, OH – The Energy Cooperative will be conducting electric line right of way clearing in early December at Mohican-Memorial State Forest and Mohican State Park, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR).

It is anticipated that the Energy Cooperative’s contractors will begin right of way line clearing on state land in the Mohican area during the week of Dec. 5. The project is expected to take several weeks. Visitors are urged to exercise caution in the area and to pay attention to temporary trail closures. Any trail closures will be posted, along with related traffic impacts.

Right of way clearing along utility lines is the responsibility of utility companies in order to ensure service and public safety. ODNR staff members will work with the utility company and its contractors to minimize disruption of access to recreational areas on state land.
