Ohio State Highway Patrol and Wal-Mart Partner to Help Children and Families During the Holiday Season

COLUMBUS – The Ohio State Highway Patrol auxiliary officers, trooper and dispatchers in an off- duty/volunteer status, and Wal-Mart will be participating in a partnership to provide less fortunate children the opportunity to receive and give a gift to loved ones during the holiday season.

The events will take place at the following Wal-Mart locations in Central Ohio:

  • 2793 Taylor Road, Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068, Friday, December 2, at 6 p.m.
  • 1470 South Court Street, Circleville, Ohio 43113, Sunday, December 4, at 1:30 p.m.
  • 5900 Britton Parkway, Dublin, Ohio 43016, Friday, December 9, at 8:30 a.m.
  • 1315 North 21st Street, Newark, Ohio 43055, Friday, December 9, at 1:30 p.m.
  • 1693 Stringtown Road, Grove City, Ohio 43123, Saturday, December 10, at 8:30 a.m.

To start the day, the children will enjoy a free meal/snack provided by Wal-Mart. Each child will receive a gift card and will be accompanied by a volunteer for a unique shopping experience where children will be encouraged to purchase something for themselves and for loved ones. Gift wrapping will be provided.
