The Knox County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #147 will be holding our Annual Toy Drive for less fortunate Knox County families.  We will be doing our solicitation on Saturday, December 3th, 2016, from 10am to 2pm.  Off duty officers will be accepting new toys or cash donations at Wal-Mart, K-Mart, TSC, and Marshall’s.  Any cash donations will be used at the store where it was collected to purchase toys by officer’s wives. Last year we were able to collect enough toys to fill 15 shopping carts. The goal will be to beat that this year.  All toys collected are given to the Knox County Salvation Army for distribution.

On December 12, 2016, at 6 p.m. the Knox County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #147 will be holding our third annual Shop with a Cop at the Mt. Vernon Wal-Mart. This event is to help less fortunate children within Knox County to have a nice Christmas. Off duty officers will assist the children and a family member in shopping for clothes and toys for the child they are assigned. Wal-Mart is a co-sponsor and they assist in providing a grant to help offset the purchasing costs. The Knox County FOP Lodge also makes a donation to assist this cause.
