BBB Has Tips for Donating on Giving Tuesday

Columbus, OH – Following the busy shopping weekend after Thanksgiving, several charities started “Giving Tuesday” to encourage donors to give to charitable organizations. During the holidays, American charities receive one-third of their annual donations.
Before donating, Better Business Bureau encourages donors to research charities to confirm that their contributions are going to reputable organizations. Donors should be wary of high pressure, on-the-spot situations and look out for fake charities that could be posing as real organizations.

BBB has five tips
to help make donating decisions easier this Giving Tuesday.
Donors can find local BBB Accredited Charities by searching BBB’s Charity Microsite.
