The Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County, 201 N. Mulberry Street, Mount Vernon, will be open special hours during the Christmas Walk on Sunday, November 27.
The main library will open its doors at noon and close at 5:00 p.m.
The Knox Choraliers, under the direction of Laura Ackert and Sarah Reyes, will perform from 1:40 p.m. to 2:20 p.m. on the main floor.
Refreshments and several gift basket door prizes supplied by the Friends of the Library will be available.
For the second year in a row, a beautiful array of Christmas Stockings donated by local businesses and sponsors will be on display for bids for the Friends Christmas Stocking Silent Auction.
In addition, the Cookbook Silent Auction will remain on display for bids to benefit the Friends of the Library during the event. The program is free and open to the public of all ages. For information, contact the main library at 740-392-2665 or visit www.knox.net.
